Here is a close look at traditional snowshoe and mulkuk bindings used in Fort McPherson’s snowshoe race.

As you can see, people use different styles of bindings!

    They’re so tiny! Those are definitely “about camp” snowshoes.

    they are running on packed snow, so the snowshoes aren’t meant to hold them aloft on powder…

    they look nice though

    my parents have a pair of those still- they are HUGE
