If you look closely, there are two ptarmigan in this picture!

    if you look carefully, you will see three ptarmingan in the photo – look between both – the third is looking the opposite direction.

      Those birds are easy to spook. I had my zoom lens on, and had to lay flat in the snow for a few minutes for them to even walk close…

      I bet they’re not easy to hunt
