What you’re seeing now is not a crowd: It’s a well-organized line for food (it folds back upon itself many times) during the opening night of the jamboree. No trying to cut in line, everything is well-ordered. How Canadian is that!
In Inuvik it’s common that community events have free food prepared by volunteers; it’s called a Community Feast.
