Hi! My name is Erik Norberg. My grandfather Oskar Norberg was brother with Petter Norberg, father of Agnes Semmler. I wonder if there are any relatives from Agnes that would like to have contact with some of their relatives in Sweden? Please let me know if that´s the case.

I lived in Inuvik from 79-85,went to Samuel Hearne and Graduated from there..Have enjoyed ,looking back on the Pictures..

I spent nine years in Inuvik, leaving sometime around 1976. (Not exactly sure of the year; I was only 11 years old!) Thanks for the pictures, they provoked a lot of memories. Minor quibble: your photo of Samuel Hearne high school is mislabelled as Sir Alexander Mackenzie School.

I lived in Inuvik from 1962-1968 . The population at that time was around 1500. It doesn’t look as tho much has changed since then. The “row” houses were not the brightly painted ones that you show here,but more pastel shades. I loved living there, and when I see these pictures it brings back a lot of memories. It was a wonderful place to live, and I would not have missed it for anything.

Dear Phil: Thank you for posting these photos of my home town. It is hauntingly familiar and yet stunningly strange to see the changes wrought through the years. We lived there from 1959 – 1973. I was very touched to see Agnes Semmler’s grave marker in one of your photos. We knew her well. Thank you again for the memories.
